“Daily Show” and “Colbert Report” Come to iTunes

This just made my day:

"The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and "The Colbert Report" are now available on the iTunes Music Store. Fans can purchase these critically acclaimed late-night series for $1.99 per episode or can choose the new "Multi-Pass" feature on iTunes allowing fans to buy the next month's worth of 16 new episodes for just $9.99.

Finally two quality (daily) television shows have been brought to the iTunes store. If you have iTunes installed you can see where the episodes will be posted here and here. Note that's future tense - there are no episodes posted yet. Oh I can't wait!

I'm glad that the "multi-pass" is a cheaper alternative, but it would be even better if they offered shows for a simple $0.25/episode (to cover bandwidth costs) and left the commercials in. Oh well - it's still cheaper than cable. Now all Apple needs to do is release a Linux version of iTunes (or WINE needs to find a way to run it).
