A Snapshot of Parenthood

Libby is certainly doing a good job eating - of that there is little doubt. But keeping her well fed is a full time job too and her mother is working overtime to do it. For anyone who may wonder what a few hours in the life of a dozen-year-old might be like I present to you Shannon's feeding log from last night:
Notebook journal of feeding times for Libby
Paradoxically, my inability to feed Libby is more difficult to me than if the burden were shared. I am really looking forward to bottles and eventually solid foods, if only so her mother can finally get more than 3 hours of sleep in a row!

Ahh I remember it well. It looks like she’s eating like a champ. A word of advice–don’t put the bottles off too long. Ella is 7 1/2 months and only takes one a day. Makes it really hard to leave her with a babysitter!

I’m glad Libby and Shannon are doing so well.
