Five Little Apples/Monkeys Swinging From a Tree
Libby sings two songs - interchangeably - about apples being eaten by slinky worms and monkeys being grabbed by alligators. Shannon and I found particular joy in the final finger Libby chose to use for the apples/monkeys. ![]()
Orchard Visit
We visited an apple orchard recently with Shannon's mom. All of us had a great time picking out apples, but the real treats were found in their country store: giant macadamia nut cookies and homemade apple caramel ice cream.
- "Nanny" and Libby riding the tractor
- Cooper napping through the whole thing
- The tiniest apple ever (but still tasty!)
- Rows upon rows of apple trees
- Walking down the main orchard row
- Concord grapes taste just like concord grape jelly – it's weird.
West Side Bar-B-Que
We hosted a fun bar-b-que with high school friends at our house at the beginning of August (yes, this post is long overdue!). Here are a few pictures from that event - it was great to spend some time with everyone and celebrate those out-of-towners who we don't usually see.

For those keeping count this was our 3rd "annual" high school BBQ (2007, 2008, no idea why we didn't do one in 2009...).
