Squid Costume
So I had to come up with a costume last-minute for a poker game on Friday (you have to buy in for double if you don't come in costume). Thanks to instructables.com for the 30-minute squid costume idea:

Libby helped me with the first few steps before she headed up to bed, and that was fun to do a small craft with her. I felt pretty good about the squid too until I saw a couple of my friend's costumes... holy cow!
A very good friend from college and his soon-to-be wife as Red Mist and Hit Girl (from the movie "Kick Ass"):

A former neighbor and all-around nice guy in a gigantic Avatar costume:

Vincent, a former colleague, as Electro (the latest in a long series of comic book/geek costumes):

Man, I gotta up my game for next Halloween!
Princess and Pirate Pumpkins
We carved our pumpkins a couple days ago:
- Princess Pumpkin with bling bling
- Pirate/Jolly Roger pumpkin
- Libby posing with her princess pumpkin
- Digging out the pumpkin guts
- Using a pushpin to mark out our designs on the pumpkins
Animal Cracker Index
A co-worker took the time to capture, categorize, and photograph all of the species in the Animal Cracker kingdom. Feel free to use this handy chart to lookup any of those "unknown" animal cracker shapes:

(thanks scooter!)
Tribal War Chants (in Rugby)
Rugby players (physically) impress the hell out of me, but having them all do a tribal war chant reminds me why I could never play rugby. I would be too busy changing my pants.
New Zealand's "Haka" is impressive (except for the silly jump at the end):
The Samoan's "Siva Tau" is pretty good too:
Hoth-some!
I'm a bit of a geek/nerd. Hard to believe, but it's true
. So I couldn't just use any "family" decal for the back of my car:

Yeah baby, that's how I roll!
