We went up to Chicago to celebrate the marriage of Ben and Julia, and it was a BLAST! Good friends, open bar, and a dance floor are always a recipe for good times. You can see the full album here.

I just uploaded an album of images taken during a road trip down to Bloomington. A bunch of us gathered on the sacred grounds of Indiana University to eat, drink, and pretend like we were 21 again. Good times:

A great group of friends from high school came over a little while ago to celebrate the day after "talk like a pirate day". We had a simple BBQ and a beautiful summer evening - who could ask for more?

New Album: East Coast Trip

We had a great trip out east this year. It started and ended with the always generous and loving Debbie and Peter, who graciously let the three of us invade their house for a few days. It was great to see Kyle, (the recently engaged) Garrett, Mark and Diane too.

Walking to the cabin

We spent five glorious days at the Maine cabin. It was wonderful to spend a few days with my extended family. In my mind Maine is the perfect vacation spot. It demands little: we sit around and read, play chess, or hike along the stony beach. Yet it provides so much: good company, mild weather, and great food.

New Album: Caleb’s 1st Birthday Party

Last Sunday was gorgeous. We spent a few hours in the afternoon at a friend's house celebrating their son's 1st birthday party. They had baby pools setup and everything, which was great fun in the hot sun. You can view the album here.

New Album: Surprise Trip to Baltimore

The album of our trip to Baltimore is up. I won't go over everything; you can read more details here. Suffice it to say we had a very good time and Matt will probably win the highly coveted "Husband of the Year" award. A few highlights:

Surprising Alison for her 30th birthday
Going to One-Eyed Mike's and joining their club
Going to the "Poets & Pirates" concert and watching Big & Rich, Brooks & Dunn, and Kenny Chesney

A big thanks go to Nana for watching Libby while we had fun on the town!

New Album: Grandpa Bud’s 85th Birthday

I have posted an album from this past weekend's celebration of Grandpa Bud's 85th birthday. We visited the following:

Submarine Force Museum: I loved exploring the Nautilus submarine and Libby loved running up and down the hallways
Mystic Aquarium: Libby loved the beluga whales, sea lion show, and trying to touch the string rays
Go-Fish: Tasty food (get the scallops!)

New Album: A Trip to the Zoo

It was overcast and gross outside today, so we headed over to the zoo. Even though it was muddy all of the animals seemed to be enjoying this unseasonably warm weather we are having.

Libby lit up with excitement while watching the seals, giraffes, and tropical fish. But for most of the day she found it just as fascinating to watch the other kids that were there.

They have a neat interaction area where you can "pet" sharks - it was very cool. We didn't get any pictures of my breath-taking shark-petting bravery, but I assure you it was impressive. Oh well.

New Album: Sarah’s 30th B-Day

What better way to spend a birthday than playing games of bean-toss (aka "corn hole") while drinking beer and hanging out with friends? That's exactly how Sarah spent her 30th, and it was a fabulously relaxing evening.

It was really good to see everyone - in particular I must say that Heather was looking great! She is probably in labor right now (she went in last night to be induced), so keep her and Bob in your thoughts!
