In what can only be described as an “extremely early” move, Sony has released a poster for Spiderman III 434 days before the movie is scheduled to be released. I understand their desire to promote the hell out of this cash-cow of a franchise, but is it really necessary to start the wheels-of-hype spinning more than a year before releasing it? I just hope it doesn’t suck.

For those wondering: yes, Spiderman is wearing a black suit. If the movie follows the comic book this suit is actually an alien life form that, after failing to “meld” with Peter Parker, finds another human to attach to and together they form Venom (an arch-nemesis of Spidey). While there are many unanswered questions to be resolved for the movie, the most prominent question is: “why do I know all of this crap?”
