I love the internet - it is often funny and weird in a wonderfully awkward way.
Man Babies is a perfect example. The premise is simple: edit an image to switch the heads of men and their children. The results, however, are oddly unsettling… yet I can’t look away!

Love it!
I am in the process of updating some aspects of NathanielEdmunds.com and, while sifting through their archives, found our series of wedding pictures they took. I wanted to share them with you because it reminded me of how much fun our wedding (and marriage) was (is) and also because they are such great wedding photographers!

Last Sunday we went to a party to celebrate Elin’s first birthday. It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon: eating cake, spending time with other parents, and watching all of our children play well together. As you can probably guess my pictures don’t hold a candle to the ones that Elin’s father takes, but here they are anyway:

Like every parent who has ever gazed upon their own child, we think that our child is pretty cute. So we decided to enter Libby in the “Gap Casting Call“. Here are the pictures we entered for her:

Our cosmos (aka Cosmos Bipinnatus) have sent up a few more blooms. Here’s one catching the last of today’s sun (click for super-sized version):

Warning: The following post contains a link to images with nudity.
I ran across some beautiful body art the other day and wanted to share it with you. Each picture depicts a sign of the zodiac using body paint, a nude women, and a lot of interesting poses. I particularly like the Cancer and Scorpio signs - very innovative!

Mibi strikes again with some super-sweet graphics of our nation’s budget. You can download the 2007 and 2008 versions directly, but I must warn you they are massive.
Assuming that the defense needs of our country have changed dramatically over the past couple decades I see a LOT of fat that could be cut from military spending. Why the hell are we spending billions of dollars on things like the F-22A Raptor? It seems to me that the enemies we must now defend against are all human-based: terrorists, environmental imbalance, and ignorance. Wouldn’t this money be better spent on things like hiring translators, funding research, or improving schools?
On a side note, if you’ve been reading this blog for a while you might remember that I have posted about Mibi’s work before, when the latest graph depicted the 2004 budget.
