There will be just one post today… this is too important:
You can find your polling place here if you live in Indiana.
Genius. You know what would be even better? If you live in Indiana, vote TOMORROW (Tuesday) for BARACK OBAMA!
Attempting to play the role of a scrappy underdog, Hillary Clinton recently stated:
“Let me tell you something, when it comes to finishing a fight, Rocky and I have a lot in common. I never quit. I never give up. And neither do the American people,” Clinton said in excerpts of prepared remarks to be given today to a meeting of the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO.
You know, I have to agree with her: she never gives up. Unfortunately for her and her speechwriters, who evidently have never actually SEEN Rocky, Apollo Creed (you know, the black guy in the movie) wins in the end by a split decision.
Senator Clinton, I agree: you are indeed Rocky.
An eye-opening retrospective look at “Bush’s War” over the past 5 years:

You can even watch it online - I think it’s worth the time just to listen to it.
Beware, beware of the Sound Bites… they usually mislead more than inform. Below are two of Barack Obama’s pastor’s controversial remarks IN CONTEXT. Before you claim this pastor was highly offensive I suggest you take a little bit of time to view the whole picture.
The “Chickens Coming Home to Roost” Sound Bite:
The bottom line: he was simply preaching that violence begets violence. The quote isn’t even his - it’s from a white ambassador in the 60’s.
The “God Damn America” Sound Bite:
The bottom line: he was saying that the government of America has failed when it treats citizens as less than human or acts like it is God and supreme in it’s power and authority.
Today neighbor-Mike and I left around 11:20am for the Obama town hall meeting. Even though we arrived pretty early we had to use some creative seat sequestering to get as close as we did.
Obama was everything in person that he appears to be on camera - he truly is a demagogue, well spoken and powerful. His policies also seem to be well thought out and inline with my own world view. Put simply, Obama is my heterosexual man-crush.
So there is no need to guess how excited I was to see him in person:

Yeah. So it was a good day, except for the fact that I didn’t get back home until 4:30pm (you’d think that one of the 20 police officers in the gymnasium would have thought to go outside and direct traffic).
Barack Obama, a brilliant beacon in an otherwise grueling political landscape, is coming to Indiana! WOO-HOO!
And, thanks to my fellow Obama-supporting good friend from High School we have tickets and will be there!
After the media reported that Clinton won Texas it turns out that, in reality, Obama won Texas (the results are still coming in, but NPR projects him to win 98 delegates to Clinton’s 95, CBS has him winning 89-84). Looks like Obama should also win Wyoming too.
Also, while I have your attention, do you remember back when Clinton was squawking about how Obama reused parts of a close friends speech? Well, turns out she does the exact same thing:
