I was working in the yard a while back and found this action figure buried under the flowers. I thought he was from Star Wars but after some intense googling I couldn’t find anything resembling him.
A shiny new dime to anyone who might be able to help me: who is this guy, and what is he from?!
So if you can’t tell I’m catching up on posting news that has happened over the past week and a half. Last weekend Shannon and I attended a “driveway party”, which is basically a gathering of parents from the neighborhood who drink and relax after all the kids have gone to bed.
Two of our neighbors had these “minimotos“, which can go about 30 mph. That doesn’t sound very fast, but believe me - when you are just inches away from the ground these suckers can give you quite a thrill. Shannon and I had a blast driving them around our block.
I’ve got to admit they will be very tempting to buy once all of our children are older than 12… they’re under $200, and dad can ride them too!
Oh, to be a kid again:
Gelli Baff is a powder that you pour into your kid’s tub to turn the water into colored slime. The goo is a completely harmless powder that soaks up 400 times it’s own weight in water. When the fun’s all done add the dissolver packet and the goo disappears.
Too bad it’s only available in Great Britain.
I know Tickle Me Elmo TMX came out in September 2006, so this post is not in the heat of the hype. Nevertheless, I feel compelled to post today because I just saw this video of the toy doing it’s thing and it made me laugh quite hard.
Christmas is 1 week away, so what better time than now to post this: instructions for every Lego set ever built! The site appears to be hosted somewhere in the Netherlands, and judging from it’s design I would guess that the Dutch are stuck in some sort of vortex that makes their web pages look like they’re from the mid 90’s.
My favorite set was the Pirate ship, which (judging by it’s release year) my little brother must have received on Christmas morning in 1993. It took us the better part of the day to build it, but it was glorious. Y’argh, legos!
