The gang playing WiiIt is no secret that I work with a bunch of geeks; it’s probably why I fit in so well. About a week ago us geeks decided that just eating lunch is a bit boring - so we headed over to a colleague’s house to play a few rounds of Nintendo Wii sports.

There were eight of us, so while four people ate their lunches the other four could play any of a number of games. Boxing was a particular favorite.

As much as I usually enjoy my job it was really difficult to leave the Wii. I need to find a way to persuade Shannon to get one of these “for Libby” when she is old enough - it’s just too damn fun! :)

Funny marqueeThis post may not be safe for the kids… but at least my child is safe (as she doesn’t yet read).

Here are a few funny “adult” film titles that I and some co-workers were laughing at today:

  • Romancing The Bone
  • Buffy The Vampire Layer
  • Sperms of Endearment
  • In Diana Jones and the Temple of Poon

That last one is my personal favorite… good times, good times.

Typical officeI ran across a funny work letter on the best of craigslist titled “To the Women Who Work in my Office… I Hate You.” It’s not as misogynist as the title might imply; here’s a snippet:

Middle age woman who works in reception - Your job is not that hard. You answer phones, put people on hold, and take messages. I don’t care that you were up late cleaning the house or that you sat up all night waiting for your delinquent son to get home, that does not give you a reason to get rude with a customer or walk around bitching about how your job is so stressful. Half of us come in still drunk from the night before, but we never yell at clients, bitch about our family members or say our jobs are soooo hard.
